FEEDING PROGRAM

Empowering Children, One Meal at a Time

Feeding the Children

Feeding the Children is dedicated to ensuring that no child goes to bed hungry. Through the generosity of caring individuals and communities, we provide nutritious meals, essential support, and renewed hope to children facing food insecurity. Together, we can nourish young lives, strengthen families, and help build a brighter future, one meal at a time.

Feeding Program

For Hugo and Salomie du Toit, feeding a child on Sunday has never been the whole story. It is one part of a much deeper commitment to discipleship, education, and long-term transformation, investing in children not just for a season, but for a lifetime.

One Sunday morning at Impak Church in Eswatini, Salomie noticed a young girl, perhaps five or six years old, crying before the service had even begun.

As preparations were underway, she asked Pastor Makhosi why the child was so distressed. His response was simple, yet heartbreaking: the little girl had eaten almost nothing all week. In some nearby homes, families had gone days without food.

"When you're hungry, it's hard to focus on anything else," Hugo explained. "We want to feed children with the Gospel, but we also need to care for their physical needs. We can't ignore their hunger."

In this rural community, some children walk nearly five miles (8 km) through the bushveld to attend Sunday service. They come to hear God's Word, but many also come knowing they will receive a meal afterward.

Pastor Makhosi and his wife, Zodwa, faithfully provide lunch for these children each week, often sharing from their own limited resources.

For many months, donations helped Hugo and Salomie support this feeding program. Today, however, those funds have been exhausted while the need remains as great as ever. They are now seeking partners who will help sustain this vital ministry and ensure that no child leaves hungry.

Yet the meal itself is only the beginning.

The du Toits believe that real impact happens through consistent care, discipleship, and educational opportunities that empower children to build a different future.

The feeding program in Eswatini provides much more than a meal. It opens doors to hope, learning, faith, and lasting transformation, helping children move from survival to a future filled with possibility.
